Clear thinking for
a distributed world.
A practical guide to the layers, responsibilities, and tradeoffs behind decentralized platforms.
Understand the infrastructure, not just the vocabulary
DecentralizedPlatform.com is an educational publication for developers and Web3 operators. It connects the questions that are often treated separately: who controls a release, where computation happens, how content is retained, and what readers can reach when an operator is unavailable.
The site is organized around seventeen topic guides and the Decentralized Platform Lab. Topic pages establish a decision’s context; articles work through narrower questions with explicit assumptions and practical review exercises.
What you will find here
Explore architecture and shared execution through the platform, Web3, dapp, Ethereum, and Solana guides. Follow the compute path into Linux, VPS operations, AI workloads, and token mechanisms. Use the publishing path to connect static exports, IPFS, web servers, DNS, and domain control.
The goal is an understandable operating model. A conventional component can be a reasonable choice when it meets the requirement and has a tested exit path. A distributed component still deserves scrutiny when its interface, administrator, or data source remains concentrated.
Editorial approach
Articles distinguish source-supported technical concepts from proposed evaluation frameworks. Hypothetical examples are used to make decisions concrete, not to imply that a particular deployment has been tested or that a named provider meets a guarantee.
We do not present unverified uptime figures, customer counts, investment outcomes, or universal privacy promises. Publication dates identify the editorial entries; a modification date should be added only when a real content revision is documented.
Each Lab article points to a primary reference relevant to its subject. Technical environments change, so check the selected implementation’s documentation before applying configuration changes. Use a non-production environment and a recoverable process for experiments.
Scope and corrections
This site provides reading material, not a hosted compute, VPN, wallet, trading, or account service. Its guides do not require a sign-in or wallet connection. Questions about an external product’s account or service belong with that product’s operator.
For a factual correction, send the page address, the passage at issue, and a relevant primary source. For a topic suggestion, describe the decision you are trying to make and the gap in the existing material. The Contact page explains what to include without sharing confidential information.
